Wording by William Wordsworth, celebrating his time in France before the Revolution went deadly sour, transferred to the delightful shock of my first aural encounters with the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. The “gods” of their (and our) musical inheritance shown to left and right are Indian, Greek, Celtic and two great US bluesmen - Robert Johnson and Little Richard.
